Kennard R. George Regional Vice President, Southwest [Texas and Oklahoma], Board Member Ken George came to VSR with over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. He had previously served as both a branch manager of a NYSE member firm and as an owner and operator of several NASD broker/dealers. Mr. George joined VSR in September 1995, to create the Texas Region and serve as its manager. He was elected to the VSR Board of Directors in June of 2004. In December 2006, he was elected to the NASD District 6 Committee. He graduated from the University of North Texas in 1975 with a B.B.A. in Marketing. He holds NASD Series 4, 7, 24, 27, 53, 63, and 65 licenses. An accomplished musician, he performed in the One O’clock Lab Band, and has performed with Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Frank Sinatra, and Elvis.
Jim Blosser Regional Vice President, Midwest [Kansas, western Missouri and Nebraska] Jim Blosser joined VSR in 1995, and became the Regional Vice President with Kansas, northern Oklahoma, western Missouri, and Nebraska as his territory in January 2006. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Mr. Blosser is NASD Series 6, 22, 24, 53, 62 and 63 licensed and holds the professional designation of Chartered Financial Consultant. He also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas and work towards a Masters degree in Psychology. He and his wife, Lisa Ann, and their son live in Lawrence. Mr. Blosser enjoys fishing in his spare time.
Paul Houck Regional Vice President, Eastern [East Coast states] Paul Houck joined VSR in March 2006 as Vice President of VSR’s East Coast Region. Previously, he had been a relationship manager, business development consultant, and a product marketing manager with First Clearing, where he developed product marketing strategy and trained correspondent firm advisors. Mr. Houck started in the financial services industry as a financial adviser in 1998, first with Anderson & Strudwick, and later with Wachovia Securities. A native of New England, he grew up in Connecticut and later moved to Boston. He graduated from Harvard University cum laude in 1993 and received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Richmond. Mr. Houck has his NASD Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses. He and his wife, Katherine, and their two children – Rebecca and Christopher - reside in Richmond, Virginia. When asked about his interests or hobbies, he replied, home renovation.
Cristi Meyers Regional Vice President, North Central [Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin] Cristi Meyers joined VSR in March 2008 as Regional Vice President of VSR's North Central Region. She came to VSR with 22 years experience in financial services. She was a regional vice president for Securities America for six years working in recruiting and Rep relations. She also has extensive operations experience with Securities America, Eisner Securities, and Walnut Street Securities. Ms. Meyers has her NASD 4, 7, 24 and 63 licenses. A native of Illinois, she and her husband still live in that state.
Margo Spencer Regional Vice President, Western [Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, and Washington] Margo Spencer joined VSR as the Regional Vice President of the Western Region in 2007. Ms. Spencer brings more than 30 years of diversified experience in financial services, including sales management, retail sales, operations, wholesaling, compliance, and sales support. She coaches financial advisors to increase productivity, maximize opportunity, and exceed expectations. Prior to joining VSR, Ms. Spencer worked with AIG Financial Advisors as a regional vice president. She has her NASD 7, 24, 63 and 65 licenses.
